Physically thrilling and effortlessly elegant, ‘Out the Window’ is a short acrobatic film featuring circus artist Nikki Rummer.  Backflipping on the narrow roof of a canal boat, Nikki asks the audience:  What has your window become during lockdown?   The film is an intricate look at the ways our windows have trapped us inside at the same time as connecting us to the intimate worlds of our neighbours.

2021 Weiwuying Circus Platform - Circus・Life Short Film Festival

Amid a global pandemic, the Weiwuying Circus Platform, now in its sixth year, has launched the first international short film festival in Taiwan to feature circus art. A total of 16 short films, including performance footage, documentaries, dramas, experimental films, interviews, etc., from 18 countries across five continents surrounding four major themes: In The Near Asian Future, The Thickness Of Being, The Latin American Tides, and New Horizons. In addition to strengthening the circus platform's spirit of experimentation and innovation, the festival also reflects Kaohsiung City's diverse oceanic nature and presents circus art of the world.
