Mental Health Policy

Mental health is just as important as physical health. Mental illness may be detrimental to a person, as it impact happiness, productivity and collaboration. It may affect the Split Second staff, as well the artists and partners we working with. We recognise that the mental health of the team, the artists and our partners can be affected in different ways.

With this policy, we aim to support the people we are working with and create a healthy and happy workplace. We want everyone to feel appreciated and be treated fairly.

Mental health issues in the workplace are any conditions that affect the team (Split Second team as well as artists and partners we are working with) state of mind. These conditions may include mild depression, stress and severe anxiety which may result in burnout and nervous breakdowns. Substance abuse may also perpetuate mental health issues.

We aim to:

  • Treat mental illness seriously.

  • Identify issues proactively and resolve them.

  • Support anyone who face mental health problems.

  • Create pleasant workplaces in collaboration with the team, artists, unions and health experts.

  • Share knowledge and information about mental health with our team and everyone we are working with. We will take information from organisation such as Artsminds or BAPAM.

This policy is not restrictive. We will test its elements to find out what works and what doesn’t. We will continuously research mental health topics and evaluate the results of our policy.
